Club Meeting on February 29th, 2008

Fellow toastmasters and most welcome guests!We had a wonderful meeting on February 29th, 2008. 7 guests joined the meeting along with our regular members. Welcome and thank you all for coming!The meeting was started on time by the president of our club Al with a brief opening remark. He then gave the lectern to Kilrak who led the whole meeting as the Toastmaster. The table topic master was Yon-jie whose theme was related to the current social events. The questions were related to politics and culture. The participants seemed to enjoy answering the questions. Well done, Yong-jie and thanks to the 6 participants for the wonderful impromptus speeches!We had three wonderful speakers in the prepared speech session. Chet, in his ice-breaker speech, told about himself by telling what each letter of his name stands for. He started from C, and then H, E, and finally T by using anecdotes. The next speaker, Fumi gave her third speech, “Interpersonal Encounter.” Her objective of the third speech was to “get to the point” and gave a speech by telling us about her former roommate. Our last speaker was Julian. The speech was about “Meeting Roles and Responsibilities” and he explained each role of the club officers such as president, VP of education, VP of membership and so on. It was a great session. Well done, guys!In the evaluation session, Leonette and John Donato gave their wonderful evaluations to Chet’s and Fumi’s speeches. The meeting was finished at about 7:45pm. Overall, it was a wonderful meeting! Thanks everyone and see you all next Friday in the same room on March 7th, 2008!
