Fellow toastmasters and most welcome guests!
We had another wonderful meeting on April 25th, 2008. 30 people participated in the meeting including the 2 guests. Thank you for coming sharing your enthusiasm with us!
Our president Al made an opening remark and introduced the toastmaster, Eric. He explained the meeting structure and briefly introduced how the meeting was going to be.
Suji then took the role of table topic toastmaster. The theme of the table topic was ’summer.’ Since the topics were familiar with all the members and the new guests, everyone seemed to enjoy sharing their personal stories related to summer. Great job, Suji and thanks for wonderful impromptus speech done by the 7 participants.
In prepared speech session, Ying Gu, Fumi and John Donato gave their wonderful speeches. In her first speech, Ying did an excellent job, speaking about her challenge in the States when she first came. She did not seem to be nervous at all even thought it was her icebreaker. The next speaker, Fumi spoke about happiness in #4 speech. She told three elements that make a person happy introduced by a philosopher.
The last speaker, John Donato was, as always, very convincing. His title was “John Donato Award of Excellence” and he gave us an award for making successful and pleasurable meeting. Great job guys.

The meeting was finished at about 7:40 pm right on time thanks for Eric’s good control of time as a toastmaster. Overall, it was a wonderful meeting! Thanks everyone and see you all next Friday in the same room on May 2nd, 2008!
